Robert Requejo Ramos
producer / writer / director / development

Hi, I’m Robby
Updating a personal website is kind of a drag, but I’m glad you’re here. This is a place for me to keep some of the creative stuff I’ve made, worked on, or gotten myself into over the years.
I’m a producer, writer, director, and editor based in Miami. I didn’t exactly take the straight path here. I dropped out of film school, played in bands, answered a Craigslist ad, and somehow ended up working on boats throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Eventually I came back to Miami, went back to school for film, and started making things seriously.
My thesis short swept the Miami Film Festival’s CinemaSlam awards and was later licensed by PBS. Since then, work I’ve been involved with has screened at SXSW, DOC NYC, and the Miami International Film Festival. I directed and produced the feature documentary South Beach Shark Club, have adapted memoirs into screenplays, produced social, branded and educational content, worked on podcasts, developed film and television projects, and spent an unreasonable amount of time making pitch decks.
Beyond the films themselves, I’ve been deeply involved in getting work seen. For South Beach Shark Club, that meant building a grassroots campaign that included a seventy-foot mural in downtown Miami, coverage on WLRN, a cover feature in Miami New Times, and sustained social and video content that helped drive audience engagement and distribution. I’ve also produced a multi-episode educational series that generated seven figures in revenue and helped land a client in Forbes.
These days, most of my work sits somewhere between writing, producing, editing, and figuring out how to turn an idea into an actual thing. Sometimes that means a screenplay. Sometimes it’s a documentary, a social campaign, a deck, a podcast, or something more expansive: an immersive pool party event at an Art Deco motel, a riddle-driven scavenger hunt through downtown, or bringing the right creative people into the room with the producers, partners, and decision-makers who can actually help make something happen.
